Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Tryin to keep the pain, the pain away, away
From travelin down this rocky road
Not knowing how to find my way
I'm traveling a road to who knows where
Seem to have lost my connection
My inner map is upside down
Time to ask for some directions
Pangs of unknowingness fill my soul
As I go through the motions of the day
Need to find comfort for my soul
Something in a pleasurable way
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Tryin to keep the pain away
From travelin down this rocky road
Not knowing how to find my way
I need to find my way, I need to find my way
I need to find my way, I need to find my way
I might break down and feel the pain
But it won't stop comin back
Somehow things have got to change
Get onto a better track
I'm overwhelmed with the task at hand
And know things need to be different
Times moving along I need a plan
Small steps I can make with intention
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Tryin to keep the pain away
From travelin down this rocky road
Not knowing how to find my way
I need to find my way, I need to find my way
I might break down and feel the pain
But it won't stop comin back
Somehow things have got to change
Get onto a better track
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
Wearing thick socks in my thin soled shoes
